Muscle car enthusiasts can expect great things from both this club and it's president. I have watched it grow since my addition to the club in the summer of 2009. It gives car lovers from many different backgrounds the opportunity to talk shop with each other, while also giving spectators the opportunity to enjoy and admire muscle cars from every generation. And, as far as the kids out there coming to shows, it gives them the opportunity to become interested in something that their parents love to do; as well as perhaps fostering a future WHMer.
On August 27th, Sean saw a new part of his vision come to life. After months of planning and hard work, he watched as his meet grew to 700 plus cars and over 1000 people in attendance. It is not a stretch to say everyone was in awe of the grandness, or should I say "epicness", of the event. I'm sure his feelings were a mixture of joy and amazement. Caliber Collision's parking lot filled to capacity quickly, and then took a swift turn to overflowing. The volunteers were constantly busy all night directing traffic; controlling the gate; selling raffle tickets, t-shirts, beverages; and doing anything else that needed to be done in a timely and efficient manner. The sponsors were in attendance to show their support of Sean and the club, and the spectators were having fun gazing at the collection of amazing cars. Everyone there knew they were a part of something big, and they were glad to be a part of it.
What's next, you wonder? I am willing to bet lots. I don't believe that Sean has created his only masterpiece. In fact, I'd be willing to bet, as he likes to say, "It is going to be epic!" Be on the lookout for more to come!
